Kinetic Boost: The Group B Turbocharger Cutaway // Blueprint R01
Engineering Note: In the 1980s, the battle for rally supremacy was won through the management of exhaust gas enthalpy. This technical "Cutaway" edition deconstructs the KKK K-27 Turbocharger, the legendary component responsible for the 500+ HP outputs of the Group B era.
Following the engine preparation principles of Stefano Gillieri, this artwork highlights the intricate balance between turbine inertia and compressor efficiency. The design focuses on the Volumetric Efficiency and the extreme thermal loads (exceeding 900°C) that the Inconel turbine wheels had to withstand under full anti-lag operation. It is a tribute to the era where "boost" was not just a metric, but a violent physical force.
